Mark Tompkins is the Director of the UGA Center for Vaccines & Immunology. He oversees a team of premier researchers who are pioneering vaccine development and the study of pathogens. CVI researchers work alongside national and international partners at academic, governmental, and private institutions to improve public health equity and vaccine availability so that they can be prepared for another pandemic.

Anumantha Kanthasamy is the inaugural Director of the Isakson Center for Neurological Disease Research, a state-of-the-art facility staffed by an innovative, interdisciplinary network of renowned researchers who are leading the way in deciphering underlying mechanisms, developing early diagnostic biomarkers, and developing novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease and other neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease-related dementia.
